Monkey Forest Ubud

Monkey Forest is a nature reserve of wild monkeys in the south about 1km from Ubud market. There are about 600 monkeys in habited. The forest comprises approximately a tenth of a square kilometer (approximately 27 acres) and contains at least 115 different species of trees. The Monkey Forest contains the Pura Dalem Agung Padang tegal temple as well as a "Holy Spring" bathing temple and another temple used for cremation ceremonies. Walking along the path you are transported into a different world of animal magic. Monkeys are friendly however beware, keep your bag, cameras, sunglasses, and hats close to you.
