Padang bai : a port, with a public ferry connecting Bali to Lombok and the spectacular Gili Islands. Speed boats are also available. Padang Bai is more than just a port though, it has a quiet beach hidden away and funky restaurants along the water, where you can watch boats come and go.

It is about 1 hour and 20 minutes drive, east of Ubud.
