Balinese Food

The appeal of Traditional Balinese food are using a wide variety of herbs, spices and leaves which make it unique in flavors and a bit spicy. In tourism areas typical Balinese food could be serve in Warung (a small family-owned restaurant) directly with Home taste that has been handed down from generation to generation.
If you would like to try typical Balinese food this are three foods from Bali that can't be missed.

Bali Guling (Suckling pig with blend of Balinese spices and traditionally spit-roasted over an open fire for about five hours while basted with coconut milk).

Lawar (a mix of meat and vegetable which blends up grated coconut flakes).

Bebek Betutu (roast spicy duck in banana leaf).

For the people who don't like spicy just request "not to hot" at ordering time so they will make it mild.
